A dialogue between Ruth's childhood memories and the reports of her father, an evangelical pastor, brings to light details of the story of a resident of the peripheral community of Ceilândia (DF), marked by the violence she suffered from men in her life. Mother of 4 children, Ruth lives with her elderly father, admires him as a pastor but not as a father. His father, known as Zé, recovered from alcoholism and found salvation in the evangelical church. His greatest asset is his certainties and teachings based on the Bible, principles that he tried to follow blindly and pass on, in his own way, to his family. A Fine Line reports deep contrasts between Ruth and the pain of being a woman.
